Buggy laggy weirdness. Your opinion?

To start off, I'm running the latest beta from beta.armagetronad.net. Anyway, i getting little weird moments while playing at swampland 2.7.1. I managed to photo them :D

One of them is laggy weirdness, and the other happens only sometimes at the beginning of games, its like the ceiling lowers and then shoots back up.

here the ceiling is lowered, you can see it all black and everything. 0_o. It rushes down and rushes back up.

This is how high up the ceiling is SUPPOSED to be. I got this view through a camera bug. whoohoo. This is not the bug this post is talking about, its just a reference so you can see how high the ceiling really is.

What's your OS, connection type and what type of hardware are you running the client on?

There's pleanty of help that can be offered here, but they'll need to have a little more detail on your setup before they can offer you some assistance :wink:

I'm on Panther with a G4 ibook laptop, ati radeon 9200 vid card (the vid card wouldnt do those things i don't think....), wirelessly connected to broadband cable; i get good pings. The ceiling thing is not related to lag at all, its happened to me all alone in swampland while i've had a good ping.

I think I saw these two bugs already; the first one also happens when you hit the pause key in a single player game. I'll add entries for them.
FYI: the "ceiling lowering" is in fact the "let the walls not block the camera's view" code that's useful in the shaped arena.

edit: btw the Z on the cycle in my avatar has nothing to do with Zman; read Fear and Loathing in las vegas and you will find out what it means.
