Seems like I missed a really good Ladle but I'm glad it went well :)

Good suggestions, and Double elimination actually went rather well, thanks for all who played a part in this ladle..

Also for what it's worth, thanks to those who decided not to ddos the ladle and let us enjoy it :P

Good matches to everyone, and thanks for a fun ladle!

CT LIV -1: Very laggy and had lots of slide deaths
Z-Man FR 0: Couple of teleports here and there but manageable

Double elimination was great. I think we can all agree that less teams will sign up next ladle, so if we do double elimination again it should end much earlier. I also agree with the others about how some teams played the same teams twice—this is an inevitable issue, especially with less teams in future ladles, but bracket redesigning should somewhat alleviate the issue.

I agree with that a couple of mU players had pretty hard lags from what I know.
My team had some lags too but not every round. I know from Toast, 2020 and myself that we died at start from time to time due to slides :/

On the topic of double elimination and mixng up ladle stuff, jericho had the idea of matches with time limit. It's been a thing in pickup so it's nothing too new but could be interesting in a tournament setting. It has pros and cons but is maybe worth discussing.

I am not opposed, but I think it is too early for this discussion. It's best to make changes incrementally. We all expect Ladle to slowly shrink in the future and this might remove the need for time limits. Also, time limits can't make teams start on schedule! We need another 2-elim Ladle for comparison. More data makes for better decisions (to a point).

Yup, I agree with sine.
I know that jericho had a couple of ideas. I think we should keep them in mind and see what ideas are still relevant after the next ladle with double elimination.
In my opinion they're going to get smoother after a while since people will get used to the system.
