I made myself an online name and during gameplay it shows up to me but everyone else cant see it. Can someone explain what to do? I can see it but everyone else just sees a blank name.

His colored semi-colin still showed up on my screen but all the showed was a space then red semi-colin...was weird.. I said go change your name from blank and he said it's not blank..he tryed to fix several times to no avail

... I'm sure this is a fairly easy bug to fix..

Was this when you guys were on BoC earlier? It is running an old version of the server...

What OS and client? I assume you downloaded from http://beta.armagetronad.net?

It happens all servers, its windows and pre 0.2.8.0... and yeah he did dl from there.

Thanks. It's a known bug that has been fixed (or rather worked around as it was a bug in Visual C++...). It's in the SF database as "No Name":
