Hmm .. I met Moofie (shenanaboosh owner) today and furthermore we'll be working together! I also helped him in getting his server back up and running, so there may be some cool things happening there in the next few months. I have a feeling this is going to give a little boost to my interest in being active in-game again.

My first time meeting anyone who plays Tron. Is it a first that someone got a job through, and because of this game?

As far as I remember, WwLevi cited his Ww leadership during a job interview and it helped.

As for most other people, I'd say it contributed in a more subtle way and it depends on what you take away from playing the game. If you don't organize stuff or just play one hour per month, you won't really learn anything. In a team one certainly gets to deal with many different kind of people, and on a forum it's easier to pick up a new language because you care more about what it conveys than you would when reading an exercise book - the issues that we discussed here affected me as a player or person, not as a pupil, and there wasn't the pressure of grades involved, just that of being criticized or of not being taken seriously. And learning to stomach that, if it doesn't come from teachers you dislike anyway, is another aspect one can only benefit from.
