Tw33zy and iN.Nike
Hello,
Tonight, Tw33 and iN.Nike were trolling several servers. They continued to DDOS the servers after being warned consecutive times. Zinger, Kim Pine, and Philosophy can vouch for me.
We tried to kick them several times from the server, but they continued to use different IP addresses to log in. I think a ban is in order, for this behavior is destructive and solely for the purpose of trolling.
If possible, I would love to have admin privileges on the sumo servers. I am an active player who continuously looks out for the best interests of the players and doesn't take bullshit. I am sick of trolls and believe others would agree that I would do a great job at moderating responsibly.
Thanks.

I can confirm. We even went to Monsters Unleashed Sumobar where Maki and I have Mod and we banned both of them, they just changed IP and came back. No matter what server we went to they followed and ddos'ed. Nike threatened to ddos at first but then when people started to get mad he backed off and said it was tw33 ddos'ing and that, he was just kidding. I personally think it was WW~Tw33zy, but either way one of them were making tron unbearable.

Re: Tw33zy and iN.Nike
They don't actually have to be in the server to ddos, so banning them won't do much good unless you just don't want to see them in the servers. As for admin on sumo servers, the sumo servers set up are hosted by a variety of people, as for Sumo Sushi I don't know who the owner is, but it'd up to them who they want to be admin on their servers, same with any and all servers. You could always try and do what Cody did and write your access_level to be set to admin in a map_file and hope people host with that map and not notice lol

Re: Tw33zy and iN.Nike
There is practically nothing this community can do against DDoS attacks. However, if the attack is small enough, there are professional-level hardware units (not for home use) that do a pretty good job minimizing them. Many ISP/Hosts have these. My suggestion is, collect any offending IPs from the server logs and forward them off to your provider and/or the company hosting the server. They can and will look into it. After all, they want you to have reliable service and are usually well equipped to handle the type of minor attacks launched by immature, attention-seeking kids. Very few people have large bot-nets at their disposal, but you can still cause quite a bit of trouble from one or two machines. Also feel free to post offending IPs here for server admins to ban. I already have a couple range-bans on my server, so what's a few more? It's not like anyone plays there but me, haha!

I can recall iN:Nike speaking about using his bot net on my server. This may be something to look into.
Re: Tw33zy and iN.Nike
I doubt anyone on tron is intelligent enough to put together a bot net.[Anonymous] wrote:I can recall iN:Nike speaking about using his bot net on my server. This may be something to look into.
There's a ton of online websites that I won't link to that provide that sort of asshattery. It makes idiots like him/her feel empowered.
I recommend doing what Sine suggested. A lot of the kiddos who stumble upon these things and think it's hilarious to DDoS servers/people don't realize that it's a crime. Not only that, but bragging, threatening, and carrying it out on a game where your IP is logged is incredibly stupid.

Re: Tw33zy and iN.Nike
Update: iN:Nike recently crashed Fast Track/ WwTw33 has crashed Sumo Sushi. I have emailed the hoster of both servers hoping something can be done.
Re: Tw33zy and iN.Nike
I support perma banning them from everything - servers, forum, anything Tron related. Also anyone who threatens to ddos but then blame it on someone else. I mean, come on, you know you shouldn't make that threat in the first place. Few nights ago two people going by JoeyBada$$ and Kat'sTits or something like that came into Mud Puddle, were misogynistic and insulting people, and then JoeyBada$$ threatened to ddos if we kicked him. He got kicked and then ddos'd the server, and might have several more times afterward. Could be Tweezy and Nike. How lame.

Yeah, I'd ban him.
@Nara: Your idea is great, but I don't think I necessarily agree with banning those who threaten to DDoS. Unless, of course, we can verify the identity of the person making threats. e.g. I'd hate for someone to rename to CxDy or something, threaten to DDoS every server on tron, get banned, and the real CxDy return only to find out they've been banned for someone using their name. That would have to be prevented.

Re: Tw33zy and iN.Nike
Yes, verify. But once it's pretty clear who they are they should be banned from what we can ban them from. There were two on Mud Puddle that night, very well could be Twee and Nike. Only one threatened to ddos but their buddy were trolling and being misogynistic along them. The server timed out several more times after they left. I'm just saying, "I didn't do it" or "I don't remember" or "someone else did it" are not acceptable excuses when there is good evidence someone did it.
