Well for all we know that cat may just be staring at another cat to have this reaction.

My cat often do that when he come across other cats. Yet he is not sick nor abused and have a good life.

Must be very sad to see everything with such ideas always.

Ps: we can see at one moment a hand petting the cat, and the cat is not happy. I bet that he's just that kind of cat that has not been properly raised and that is hostile toward humans. Not implying that he got abused.

Their own legs. It's fairly common. This page references one of the most popular videos depicting this behavior.

It doesn't have to be the leg, specifically. Additionally, focal or cryptogenic types of epilepsy sometimes involve hallucinations (as you may be aware), so that can be manifested in their behavior as well. (Not to be confused with cats pretend hunting, something common among bored indoor cats whose people don't play with them enough. And then there's feline hyperesthesia syndrome.... There's a lot of misunderstanding about cats.)
