Happy new year to all of you!!!!!
I do not agree with your forecast, though. I think the evening will hold sobriety, sensibility and sleep and other such great things!!!!
And I saw the movie about you yesterday night, Bilbo!!!! You are very brave, Bilbo!

Happy 2014
Oh and the Earth isn't really 2014 years old. That's just mother nature lying about her age.

Indeed. The entire universe was only created yesterday, in a configuration consistent with being much older.

I always celebrate my new year when Earth is at perigee, but you know, that's just how I roll.

That would be the perihelion. And it wouldn't do you much good, you still need to account for the shifting earth rotation axis when looking for stars. And you need to keep shifting the dates for harvests constantly, which I guess only affects really long lived farmers, but still. /nitpick
I happen to celebrate New Year on Jan 4 so I don't have to admit I'm late wishing you all a happy new one!

Goddamnit. I always say perihelion. I don't know why I typed perigee. I'm just going to blame my concussion.
