I did! Sorry for the upload delay. Still don't know what exactly happened on my server just before the finals. Did anyone apart from me get randomly kicked? The let-potential-players-join-by-kicking-idle-spectators code was definitely active, but it also apparently kicked my admin client. And the serverside recording does not play back far enough.

Anyway, here they are. Most of them are just fire-and-forget recordings of whatever happened on the servers. Pretty much everything should be in there, except for the first Round that should have been at unk and the last couple of rounds in the third Round on my server where the recorder got kicked (I keep forgetting to op it).

all you (pike, cody, orion, axon) who said I rqed: I didn't. it was too laggy for an actual competition and I have other stuff to do. Those who struggle to make finals tend to value it much more highly than I do. But really it's just another sumobar match. This one was too laggy to play, so I left just like I would for any other match. It was immediately apparent how pointless playing was, and I said so in the very first round. Even the recording looks choppy. whatever, I don't really care what orion thinks about me. I don't care about tronnys and I don't vote on them and I don't count or track my ladle wins like some of you. The game is about playing. I like to play. High level matches are fun, but with that lag, that finals was not a high level match.

Anyway, I had a commitment that meant I had to leave before 36 rounds anyway, which is why I voted for 24 or 18. Just like the majority of finalists. The rules said the finalists would vote on the final, but that is not how it was decided. It quickly became clear it was pointless playing a laggy match that says nothing about who is actually better, and I figured if I was going to have to leave at round 25 or whatever, I might as well leave at round 5 and save myself 20 rounds of my time. There was no rage involved, chill out.

Out of all the games in Armagetron, Sumo is the one most dependent on a stable connection because of the lower rubber, frequent turning, and small space. It is kind of a bummer.

Concord: no harm intented, it was only a joke and to be honest if I had to play the final I doubt I would stay until the half of it, never mind the end. 18 rounds is long, 36 is just silly, even if it was very exciting in the end.

It's one of the problems of SBT rules - the games are long and if your connection is not at least good or if you're behind by certain amount of points there is not much reasons to continue playing, you can see this all the time on DBD sumo server - people leave when they have no chance of winning the match and there are still some rounds to go.

If 36 is silly, then what's 1000?

Super duper extra silly- also not doing that ever again, maybe.
