@Phytotron: I've always hated rubber as a game mechanic. When it's used as a game mechanic, it's being abused.
Right, but I would like a lightcycle game with no such thing as rubber, but rather some other method of compensating for latency that has no relation to or effect on gameplay physics like rubber does.
For servers: I definitely recommend Classic Submarine, The way I started out was I played for like a month before I learned how to bind, and thats kinda sad so you should definitely practice binding as much as you can. I personally have my keyboard set up as ASD(left) and KL;(right) Also before you start going on high rubber servers you need to be completely comfortable on low rubber because as someone said above HighRubber DOES spoil you.
My two cents, run sub till you stop being horriblew at it, then move to a low rubber server. Once you have those down all the high rubber servers are sad jokes of them running in terror.
Also, sub usually has helpful players willing to teach noobies how to not suck.
