lol The "o" was missing in the RINCLUDE. I didn't expect it to be missing in the MAP_FILE line too. >_<

I'm not sure how that happened, but it appears to be fixed in their CFG or somehow I did it .. but not sure how I could have without realizing it.

Edit: I refreshed the resource and left their MAP_FILE then. It should hopefully be okay now.

there's been some talk (mostly by me) about doing a 4 week 1v1 league. There would be multiple divisions of 8 players, and there would be relegation/promotion based on the results. You would play each divisional opponent twice per season, one home match where you get to pick the server, and one away. You would have 3-4 matches per week, which you could play at any time that the both of you are available. A match would be best of 3 games to 6 pts, and so a match would take a maximum of 30 min, and usually significantly less. Probably a 90 min time commitment per week, though spread out across the whole week. Matches would be pre-loaded onto toursumo.tk, and reporting would be just like for tour matches. Results would also count towards Elo.

I'm trying gauge interest. Obviously we need to settle the new 1v1 settings first as well.

1v1 Sumo League. Beginning July 29th.

From the FAQ
What is 1v1 League Play?
The 1v1 League has several divisions, based on skill level. Each season, all 8 members of a division play each other twice. The player with the best record in the division is crowned champion. The top two players from each division are promoted to the next division, and the bottom two finishers of each division are relegated to the division below them.

What are league matches like?
Players play 3-4 matches each week. A match is best of 3 sets, each set is first to 6 points, just like Open matches. League matches also count towards Elo. If you are the home team, you get to pick EU/US server. You are the home team if your name is listed on top of the report form.

When are league matches like?
Each week 3-4 opponents are scheduled, but those 4 matches may be played at any time during the week. When you are available to play, you should be in the IRC room #armagetron.1v1. You should also use the mail system on toursumo to arrange match times.

How long is each season?
4 weeks, top of the table is champ.

Division 1B is half-full. If you want to beat Rudy, Potter, Over and Cody on a semi-regular basis, you should join it.

I may or may not be away from 10th-24th August. As this league thing takes 4 weeks and I'm unsure about 2 weeks, I may not be able to participate. If I can't find out till Monday, someone can take my spot.

if Division 1B does not fill up, there will still be a season for those players, just with fewer games.

that said, there are 2 spots in Division 1B for the taking.

@vov: what's your status?
