wii U support
wii U support
Ok so ik that wii U supports only html5 and ive played a few online games that use html5. my son wants to play angry birds on the wii U, does anyone know of a site in which he can play without requiring me to download google chrome ?
Re: wii U support
I thought Angry Birds was only a smartphone and tablet app? I guess not.

Nah, it was originally a flash game. It now has a bunch of different versions, created for a ton of different platforms.Aura wrote:I thought Angry Birds was only a smartphone and tablet app? I guess not.
Try a Google search for an HTML5 version. It may exist ... I'm sure there's some downloadable version for the Wii, or maybe even an actual game disc you can go buy. Your experience wont be any better than that of a PC or phone / tablet. It's not really worth so much trouble.
Hook a tablet up to TV w/ HDMI, you will likely have a better experience than the Wii.

chrome.angrybirds.com works for me in internet explorer, albeit slightly laggy. Maybe you'll have some luck with it?

The chrome webstore offers an html5 version of it. Maybe try the Google+ version.
Re: wii U support
Keep in mind i'm using a wiiU. As far as i know, i can't use any other browser including 'chrome' on it ....... just need a html5 angry birds, shouldn't be so hard to find one, if there is one but i can't, so i guess there isn't one but i thought flash was old news and that html5 was the way forward.

Just like to add that if you had ever used a wiiU you'd know that it is in a way 'a tablet' especially on the browser which show whatever you're looking at on the gamepad and the tv screenLight wrote:Your experience wont be any better than that of a PC or phone / tablet. PS. I wrote this whole reply via wiiU gamepad

Re: wii U support
Using a tablet, you would see it on the tablet plus the screen. Probably higher resolution on the tablet than the gamepad as well, but I can't say that for sure since I don't know the specs. Many tablets have 1080p out (not that Angry Birds will use that much room), so I don't see the benefit of using a console.ConVicT wrote:Just like to add that if you had ever used a wiiU you'd know that it is in a way 'a tablet' especially on the browser which show whatever you're looking at on the gamepad and the tv screen

Hope this answers your question http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_U
I dont have any tablet gadgets apart from this either, I'll give it a year and this system will be owned, just like the wii and i'll be able to get most things through homebrew or something
Just that my son saw this as a tablet and assumed he could play angry birds, and i didn't see why not either, and if not, why not? lol. It is so made for games like that !
