As someone who started playing DDL (low rubber) for at least 2 years before moving to HR, I really can't agree with the claim that LR players would do better than HR players across a variety of game styles. What is your basis for that assumption? I don't think HR players would necessary outplay the LR players, but I don't think any group has an innate advantage just because they play one game-type versus another.
Every game type in armagetron has its own pros, its own noobs, its own clans, and its own "culture;" they are so different that attempting to compare any two (or the players in any two) is just speculation and a waste of time. Low rubber legends from my early days were certainly amazing, but comparing them to similar high rubber legends from several years ago is just not feasible.

DDL is definitely considered in the low rubber district (maybe medium) - but I played DDL + other LR serversVogue wrote:noBiggySmalls wrote:As someone who started playing DDL (low rubber)

Not even close to medium. You are so entrenched in your HR culture you have a horribly skewed perspective on rubber. Sorry.BiggySmalls wrote: DDL is definitely considered in the low rubber district (maybe medium)...
