cant login to server

ive tried two different accounts. i keep getting
server returns USER_NOT_FOUND

What method are you trying out?

In online servers, you need to do

/login Savant@forums

If you try something like

Code: Select all

/login Savant

the server will check only in local users list and you will find that you might not exist.

If the problem persists, could you perhaps take screen shots and share them with us for extensive guidance?

Maybe it shouldn't be, but it worked for me, in a similar situation.

Yes, the logins are tied to the forum and any change here affects the login password.

So, it's not completely a waste to check that we surely can login here (if we have forgotten our password).

Idk I've seen it suggested and heard it worked. I never had a problem logging in, so I dunno. Didn't make sense to me why it would need done for querying an SQL db unless there was some sort of activation when logging in for the first time. Anyways, guess I won't bother to advise it again.

The reason why some users had to log out and back into the forums was so the passwords could be hashed in a way arma would be able to use. So people whom made account prior to 2008 (just a guess) needed to do this. But newly registered users get thier passwords hashed properly when they create an account.

The only case where you need to log out and log in here is if your account here is old and does not have some information needed to use auth on you. The login failure message will instruct you to do it.

But above all, you do not need to post to be able to authenticate with @forums.
