Racing looks like its less about reactions and strategy and more about remembering the maps. Seems like you just need to learn when to turn from trial and error

The camera that people use shows a lot more than the main camera in pr3's video. But still, the game does require a good deal of memorization. It takes a few run throughs of maps to get comfortable with them and get a fast time.
