Rounds starting out shaky

Post by Tsugaru »

First, I play on a mac.

Every so often, I have this issue when the round starts where my bike is very shaky. It goes away after I turn about 10 times, and it stops for the rest of the round. I didn't always have this issue, it just kind of started up out of the blue, but what I think might be the culprit is when I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion. It does it about once every four rounds. I tried reinstalling arma, but that didn't seem to fix it. I've searched around and couldn't find anyone else having a similar issue, but if anyone has, I would appreciate some help. It's rather annoying having your bike shake around while you're trying to play. :?

/me has a mac
I have that problem once a month(strange I know.) when you say shaky I assume you mean it's like your cycle is in two or three places(kinda like a hologram) at once and then they jump in a straight line. I've found that it happens to me when 1) when my wireless internet acts up 2) when servers act up. I assume like most people there are about 4-5 servers that you favor. Maybe it happens on certain ones?

So far it's happened in every server I've gone into. I don't think it's an internet issue because it never happens during the rounds, just at the very start, and then it stops.

:? /me has no clue
I have leopard on this laptop but I don't have the problem anymore tbh. The only thing that has changed from the times that I use to have that problem is the fact I turned off all my textures.

We've addressed an issue like that on 0.4; it requires both a 0.4 server and client, though, because a network protocol change was required. If the problem still persists in that situation, please make and submit a debug recording.
