Every Friday, at roughly 11pm EDT (or 10pm CDT, 8pm PDT) a Capture the Flag Shooting pickup will be hosted. It is located in the Wild West CTFS server, and anyone is welcome to play. Team Captains will be chosen, and then players assigned to teams.
Come try it out! We're trying to attract a bigger crowd of players to join us and enjoy the reunion of the old shooters, as well as hopefully gaining interest in the game mode that once had a large community of players.
This is our attempt at gathering the few who are still willing to play, and hopefully reigniting the game mode in general.
IF for some reason the time is unacceptable, or even the day, popular request may bring the organizers of this weekly pickup to change the time, or possibly even the day of the week.
- All input appreciated.

Re: Weekly CTFS Pickup
Thanks for the unneeded criticism.....
There is a small group of us that have been playing shooting games in Armagetron for 3+ years now, mostly Capture the Flag Shooting and Fortress Shootout. Some have migrated to High Rubber Shooting, which is where most of the shooting action is. It is quite a different game when you can trap people, and you have to dodge bullets, and you can shoot. A small group of us love it. Thanks to groundpig for inventing it and Kyle, Voodoo, and Luke-jr for improving and maintaining the sty and sty+ct branches that include, we can enjoy it.

Re: Weekly CTFS Pickup
@Snake: Yeah, I'd prefer a $60 game with horrible lag-compensation, pathetic map engineering, along with an endless list of other problems over the $0 ArmagetronAd game I'm able to enjoy thanks to Tank Program, and the many other developers who put their time and work into making a great game. Infinity Ward / Treyarch are paid millions and millions of dollars to put out the crap that they do, and yet here we have people with families, lives, jobs (some might work on the computer/internet), and other things that they could be doing, and yet they choose to take time out of their day to develop and improve Tron. For what? A few bucks in donation that are used strictly for paying for this website, and a few servers? I'm forever thankful for that, by the way.
@Compguygene: Agreed! I really love shooting, above all game modes, and I'd really love to show the other people of Tron how truly wonderful a game mode it is when given a chance, and when it is properly organized. Much thanks to those who invented the sty patch.
