Re: What are you listening to right now?
they remind me too much of amy winehouse
and I generally don't like artists who try to imitate some other time period to show they have taste (and don't leave out a single cliché to achieve this, another example for that would be Max Raabe copying the Comedian Harmonists. although I don't have a problem to listen to him on the radio I'd never go buy one of his albums). Real hippies are less artificial in some way
here's the difference:

Re: What are you listening to right now?
Yeah one of my favs too. When I was your age. Almost 20 years ago. When you were still peeing your pants. You remind me (slightly) of the drummer from my last band. All his favorite music groups were broken up before he was even born. I've observed this in other people too and always found it curious how they seem to identify strongly with music from a time period seemingly "out of phase" with their generation. I might have to do some new research on music and culture because I feel like I'm missing some important information on the subject.
Of course, there is a huge difference between you and other people I know. You're not from the USA and from what I can tell your music taste is highly diverse. It's just weird to see the kick-ass music from my youth coming from such an unexpected direction, haha.
By the way, do you play an instrument or have any music training?
