aProject - Close Combat Shootout

Post by LOVER$BOY »

Hello guys!

I want to introduce you all to a new server I brought up with the help of my hoster. This server is called .aP|aProject ## Close Combat Shootout ## and is part of my Alpha Project.

Basically the server is all about shooting your opponents and the game style is a little similar to dodgeball but I added my own invention to it. The speed is very high and you will have walls that you use to cover from the stream of shots that just keep coming at you (shot by the enemy). I will not tell you the amount of normal brakes you need to brake to make a shoot (you will find out anyway) but the full brake releases two shots; one shot to the front and one behind you. Use the base zone to respawn your teammates quickly before you get killed by the horde of shots!

Normally the server is boring with only one player against a bot but with more players, the server becomes even more crazy and people will enjoy it very much although it'll drive them insane! It is also rather annoying when the teams are not matched and that you are ganged by a margin of 2 vs 1 competition. One thing is for certain, the game play is fair and keeps the settings at it's awesome settings which gives an even fight between both teams and players.

There will not be friendly shots considering that would be a waste and be a little bit unfair. I would also add that the shots bounce off walls at least 4 times before they vanish!

The server is more suited to revenge fights and wars. Mainly to release their frustration and to get revenge on an enemy or a clan. Perfect server for duels and win tournaments (if any).

I hope that this server interests you all and that you will visit this server to check it out. Please, I would like to know what improvements I could make to it to make it even more greater fun! (although I might not do it if they sound too weird or too unfair).

Thanks!

I have just been playing in it for over an hour and seriously... over 6 people turned up and it got quite intense. SOOO INTENSE that I started to enjoy even though I was dying a lot :D

The score board was over 5000 and kept going higher with each kill :D

I was right in thinking that modes is the wildest mode I ever made and it's stable too unlike Kill or be Killed which simply crashes the server.

Why is there dzs in the middile ? Chatbots like to explode on 'em and sometimes it gets annoying for all the chatbots exploding.

Yes... I know the feeling nelg...

So far the chatbot don't have a setting to tell them to avoid the deathzones nor does it apply for the AI's.

Sorry... :(

No, you can't. Chatbots are controlled on the clients, and they don't know about a zone's nature.

Also, there's an edit button, no need to post twice in a row.

Well they do take 20 points out of the score board but that just means that you will need to work hard to score points.

Remember, 40 points for shooting down an enemy :P

And like Z-Man said, you can't do that because there isn't an implementation for a chatbot or an AI that there is a ZONE ahead of it :P

Again what Z-Man said about posting twice unless you want to increase your post count :P

Which there's no reason to do. Not to run you off, nelg, but has someone given you the impression that you get a prize or some other benefit from posting a lot?

Come on, one post is enough. Nobody cares about the amount of your posts, they care about the content.

That looks like a case of quote/edit confusion, let me clear it up. Still: nelg, please check your Private Messages.
