I'd like to believe a "normal intelligent person" researches the subject before they give their opinion on it.zat wrote:I planed to close it at the end of the week. But don't make researchs! I would like to see what a normal intelligent person think about those questions.

But then you won't find out what the normal thoughts and knowledge are about this subject because before they made the researches (which they wouldn't do without this survey) they had perhaps an other opinionvogue wrote:I'd like to believe a "normal intelligent person" researches the subject before they give their opinion on it.

Oy vey. Her point is that an intelligent person wouldn't/shouldn't develop or have an opinion on a subject like that without having done research first. A person who hasn't done research but spouts an opinion anyway is not intelligent.
By the way (part I), in English we don't "make researches," as fun as that is to say. In the verb forms, John/Jane/he/she researches or does research; I/you/we/they research or do research. Past tense gets more complicated, but "make/made" is never involved. And the noun form is both singular and plural as research. Anyway, what you wanted to say was "[implied 'you'] don't do research" and "before they had done research." Not criticizing, just informing.
By the way (part II),

Shouldn't you be getting taught that? Standardized statistical methods, proper survey methodology, etc.? Maybe not.how can I know that the surveys on the existing formal research are better then mine and aren't false or just made with only 20 people

Re: Israel's politics toward the Palestinian (survey)
Yeah that was basically my logic. I can't really form an opinion without having the basic background information first. I do have some prior knowledge and loose opinions already, but I can't recall specific details that you are requesting after each question.
Re: Israel's politics toward the Palestinian (survey)
The survey itself is less numbers and more opinion-based, closer to an interview than anything else. So the data received will be qualitative rather quantitative which seems fair enough, and arguably better for extracting the desired information
But by asking for in-depth responses, it makes the respondent want to learn more before giving a more complete assessment of their views, so you'll have to factor that into your results sunny
I cannot stress enough how important is to be aware of the issues though, and I really recommend people to research into these issues. Half the problem is that the main supplier of world media (the USA) is the main economic force keeping the Israeli Zionist project alive! This has enabled Israel to frequently document all the Palestinian terrorist attacks, and hush up the daily atrocities performed by Israeli forces against Palestinian people (which are highly disproportionate). There is no 'war' between them, but one 'nation' crushing another nation (to such an extent that that nation isn't even formally recognised)
It's clearly a horribly messy and complicated situation, look into it! The more people know about it, the more we can pressure the people in charge to change their policies towards it

Re: Israel's politics toward the Palestinian (survey)
thanks for your good input psy
and to the others who filled it out!
I'm now starting to analyse the answers, which means that it makes no more sence to fill it out anymore.
And yeh it's a very interesting but complicated situation, try to understand both sides (Palestinian and Israeli) and form your own opinion about it.

Niiiice!
In recent news - the British Olympics has defined Israel as part of Europe, whilst Palestine is part of Asia. How absurd
