Says user not found when I try to login

I just made my account but whenever I try to login during the game it's telling me local user not found. I am typing /login and doing everything correctly but the problem persists, I'd appreciate any help.

Full login instructions really should be stuck under the Welcome section. Still not highly likely these sorts will look there, but perhaps somewhat more likely than browsing/searching the forum for the answer. Would help if a line about "learn how to log in here" was put along with the "Please read this welcome post, and welcome. " description. Way overdue; this comes up too frequently.

also i relized there may be way too many readmes / welcomes

I already changed the error message that seems to be confusing these people to include the relevant hint. It'll be a bit before it propagates to the servers, of course.
