No worries. I think this has been a good lesson that we can't just rely on the "regulars" all the time. I'm just glad I caught it.

Maybe what could be good is if we had some kind of checklist at the top of the challenge board, including things like brackets, authorities, settings updates, and the such. And just have whoever updates each section switch the text color from red to green or something of the sort. It'd be a good reminder system.

Totally unnecessary. It would be an awfully small checklist because there are only two things to do: Make the brackets and load authorities to the CT server for rincluding. Obviously there is a backup for the second one. We rarely change settings and when we do it's a big deal with a lot of hullabaloo.

However, here is an idea I've been thinking about the last few months that stems back almost two years ago: a variation of Global Moderators. Because we've been using authentication in Ladle reliably and responsibly for so long, it wouldn't be a stretch to assign /op privileges to a handful of people who usually have responsibility anyway; maybe even one Team Leader from each regular team (SP, CT, TX, uNK, R, etc...). This way we can easily provide TL status to players is the unlikely event authorities don't get loaded, or loaded incorrectly. We can keep these GMs in the Ladle.cfg and update it every year or so. It would be pretty easy to determine who to give /op privileges too -- the most frequent TL's of the longest lasting teams (or more generally, the most reliable and trustworthy person in that clan).
