Over, so what you're saying if a player starts in February this year, and by the end of the year he's as good as wap or Durka or whoever, he's not eligible to being most improved? Despite improving from the level of not knowing what grinding is to being one of the best players in the game?
Re: 2011 Tronny Awards!
Potter i feel Every rookie dramatically improves because your rookie year is when you have the most room for improvement and everything tends to slow down after your first year, Your improvement Exponentially increases where it starts very very fast and then levels out.
That and most Rookie forters have spent time in other servers not necessarily new to the game.
So I agree with with Over where Rookies stay in rookie category and Most improved Is for your 2nd year+
just my opinion/explanation the best i can.

Re: 2011 Tronny Awards!
We should all remember when something like awards of this nature are created, the winners aren't supposed to be based on stats hence the point in the voting.
The winners are voter based which means opinion based. If we were to just look at stats, we wouldn't need this.
So if someone has won the most sumo tourneys and stuff, they may not win the award simply because the award is opinion based.
So don't go looking at stats and compare that to who was nominated.

Re: 2011 Tronny Awards!
My whole point is one person shouldn't have a chance at both awards because I don't see how you can be most improved when it's your first year AND there's a category specifically for being in your first year. As well as the fact it's NATURAL to improve as a 'rookie'. And as a 'rookie' you DON'T KNOW what you're going to become. If a person gets that good then they should be rookie of the year, for sure, because they've shown how much better they've gotten from when they first started. However, since we had no idea what they could do, or how they would grow, then how can you say they had the most improvement when we had no platform, base, whatever to judge it off of?
In short, 'rookies' are supposed to improve since they're new. Doesn't mean they should get a chance at most improved because they did something that should happen (make any sense?).
Also, forgot to mention that most rookies already have prior experience whether it be in CTWF, HR, DF, etc, etc. So they're not necessarily 'rookies,' but players moving to the 'official' gamemodes of choice from a majority of the current players.
Anyway, glhf, tired of trying to state my point. Also, I don't like how anyone and their best friends are getting nominated. So, as I said before, left a suggestion for next year or forget about it.

Re: 2011 Tronny Awards!
Those are just fort stats used on a very casual play server.
I was really focusing on sumo stats because it is more of an individual game mode.

No, that's the pickup server, which scripts out any "non-pickup" match. If you're looking for casual stats you could find them here.INW wrote:Those are just fort stats used on a very casual play server.

There's no gridstats for sumo that I know of (would be cool having one for tst.eu though).
