You need to configure the router to give your server a fixed IP, or configure the server to take a fixed IP and not fetch one from the router. Then you enter that one.
Ok, so since that website does not have information on Linux, and the information I found left to many gaps, maybe it would be easier to configure the server to take a set ip. Could you help me with that?
I can't walk you through it any better than the last link does, sorry. I can try to answer specific questions and fill in the gaps, but you'll have to name them.
Personally, I didn't bother setting up any static IPs on my current devices and use a function on my router instead: it allows me to assign static IPs to clients based on the hostname they're reporting or their MAC address. Maybe your router has such a thing, too, but I wouldn't be able to help there.
