Name suggestions - Phase 1

I'm about to organize two (hopefully) regular tournaments for HR and Dog Fight (where 'open' is enforced by the settings, of course), and I'm going to use the Ladle's template (that's the same Tru and Wind did when they started the CTF Brawl).

Phase 1 - Name suggestions

I thought The Grinder would be a good name for the HR tourney (and The Sieve for Dog Fight?). Just trying to continue what Vanhayes called the Tronic Progression

I'm going to ask some DF/HR players to post their opinions here.

Actually, I think that was 2020's harebrained idea. (Unless you're just referring to that uncyclopedia-like diagram, in which case nevermind me.)

Could call both of them "Bastardised Armagetronaments."

We had some discussions about this in the ID forums, but if another name would attract more players, then that would be better.

I think an hr/df tourny is an absolutely splendid idea. Mostly because I play nothing else lol. Anyways I'll support you every step of the way. Unless you ask for money. Then I'm out...

I think naming it the tilt would generate a lot of ol school players but I also want some of the newer players to get more introduced to hr tourneys

i refuse to play in an hr tourney that has settings that make you play open. and i dont see how thats possible actually. not even hr. unless your just talking about df being open then sure ill play hr. i refuse to play df.

Settings that force you to play open would be sets that only allow you so close to the wall making it always open for someone to get through.

well...I think we should discuss this later. From what I see here the best name for the HR tournament is Tilt as long as nobody objects.

Back in 07 the HR settings for that tilt along with it's name were decent. Not sure about this whole kitchen utensil nomenclature though. How about moving the name system from the kitchen over to the garage. HR (Hammer) DF (Wrench).

I myself don't really think these should exist (I understand the original motivation of trying to shut up the gangs of thugs, but none of the arsehole DF servers use them, anyway), as I think there should be a cap on rubber (at least relative to speed), but they exist all the same.
