Any car enthusiasts?...help this guy win some wheels..

Post by Puppetman »

I dont know how many people here care about this sort of thing, but this guy has been collecting parts to build a one of a kind European styled Ford Focus since 2007. He is now one set of wheels away from completing this work of art and he needs help getting the votes to win the wheels.

This is a photoshop competition that is voted on via Facebook. Here is the link to his thread and the information:
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/show ... p?t=262525

To vote you become a fan of the "fifteen56" Facebook page, view photos, and in the first photoshop submission gallery, he has a photoshop of a tractor. All you have to do is "Like" the photo of the tractor.
This may seem like cheating, but the one other guy that he is up against is doing the exact same thing(whoring out this information on various forums across the internet)

here is a link to the facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/fifteen52
here is a link to his photoshop (the one we need to vote on): http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...5.271545148439

and here is a link to his competitor (not even that good of a shop IMO): http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...type=1&theater

This is what the final product of his car should look like

Please help!

Thanks

I disapprove of everything I see here. Car worship, competition rigging, spamming random forums only tangentially related. But that's probably just me.

Oh, and Facebook.

I wouldnt say its car worship, it's hard work and passion for a hobby.

The competition was rigged from the start, especially considering that there are TWO individuals who are participating in the rigging and spamming. I wouldnt even call it spamming. It's a just a request.

How is this unrelated? This is the "really general" section.

Sure, maybe facebook isnt for everyone.

I'm not pushing any of this on anyone, but if you do enjoy cars/ like that focus, and you do have a facebook, please consider voting :)

Agreed.

Plus, a Ford Focus is a "work of art?" o.O

Note: I didn't say it was a bad car. It's a fine car (especially when/if the all-electric one comes out). I just find it strange one so pedestrian (er, ironic pun?) would be referred to as a "work of art"—even with the minor mods.

The guy has collected parts from a 2002-2003 european performance version of the Ford Focus called the RS. The RS isnt in production anymore and parts are difficult to get ahold of.

Its a pretty car that you wont ever see in the USA. So if nothing else, at least understand what the RS is, and why this matters to those who like hatchback sports cars.

But all of that being said, the competition ended tuesday anyway.

Yeah, I got all that. It still looks like a Ford Focus, with minor mods. I like the Focus (and dig hatchbacks in general); I just found curious the description of it as "a work of art." ::shrug::

The seats and interior as a whole look nice.
