Leave me alone woned! I don't know where MB53 is playing because our sign-up program in our internal forums doesn't let people edit themselves out, they just go to "back-ups". Go figure.

EDIT: Removed MB53 from CTb.

Appa, what you did is unforgivable. You get half rations next week.

hey, dukevin said that Rx is going to take part in this ladle and he pm'd me yesterday that he had problems to find the times. Rx isn't signed up yet but the brackets will be made tomorrow. I pm'd him that he should sign the team up but maybe he reads it too late. So...could you please put Rx in the randomizer even if they sign up later? (in the best case he'll sign up as soon as he reads my PM). I know that they're willing to take part and it's their first ladle.

I think people here are too picky to let that happen. They'll probably have to do the Arma Ladle ~bye~ Dance... :P

appa is correct, they can bye-in. still plenty of time so sign up though, and it should be pretty easy to get them into the game if they miss.

Brackets, courtesy of Titan and me. If you're curious about how we randomized, just ask. It was pretty much as random as possible while making sure that the servers would flow nicely (leaving the good ones for the finals and semifinals). This didn't mean that any team had any better chance than another to get a better server though, so it's 100% fair. Enjoy :)

Just so it's clear, because apparently PoleMaster is confused, servers a never randomized. They are chosen specifically by reliability and the availability of their admins/owners, then alternated backwards from the finals between US/EU. Teams are always random, sans seeds. That said, the servers are placed appropriately. GZ.

well the point of the randomization of the servers (not 100% randomized) was so that each team had the same chance of getting any given server in their first round, but still making sure that the good servers lasted until the end, and that we managed to have a US backup for each EU server and vice versa. It didn't seem fair that the best servers should be placed in the top and bottom since those spots are always given to the top two seeded teams.

But they aren't always placed at the top and bottom, you haven't noticed? And I think we've already established that all Ladle servers are considered "good," and if they aren't there isn't anything we can do about it anyway because we barely have enough as it is.

 Whatever man, do what you want. Won't change the outcome of the game in a meaningful way.

I don't understand what you were wondering to begin with sine. Or were you just telling poke that he did something wrong? If so, tell me instead (I did servers) and shortly after that I'll respond with telling you to show up on thursdays yourself instead. I was hoping that someone would do it in my absence, but when I got home a few hours after 18gmt they still weren't done, and the ladle players that were online were busy playing pickup :< and so I asked poke to do it with me. We didn't do anything wrong as far as I'm concerned and yeah, I dunno what you're getting at.

Kyle or I would have been there if we didn't have to work, thanks for picking up the slack man. :)

But no, you guys didn't do anything wrong. Poke said above the servers were randomized and I interjected to say the servers are never randomized, because that's not how we do it. He brought up the fact that seeded teams might get some sort of server privilege without partial randomization, for which I replied "meh."

The brackets look the way they should. You guys did a perfect job. I guess I'm just nitpicking at Poke's nitpicking.

Kyle was working on a server distribution script that works like randomteam and fixes this imaginary problem. I say imaginary because it is true the person placing the servers can introduce bias, but the effects of this bias are nominal at best. Hopefully he'll have it ready by fall, assuming he gets some time at the end of summer.
