I didn't know you're DesolateA wiki is included which allows new players to gain a better grasp of the game when they are first starting up, as well as offer tips for setting up servers and coding scripts within them. If you are willing to give this amazing game a try and are looking for someone to help you get situated within the game, pm Desolate (that’s me).

That's grammatically correct still for both males and females, iirc. You would tend to want to say them/they there, but that's plural. Player however, is singular, so the him/he is correct. Her/she would also be correct, and is typically what would be written if the writer was female. (We tend to apply our own gender to genderless terms.) At least, that's my understanding of it.
Hurrah for grammar.

Re: Armagetron Shoutout
That's a poor justification!
I doubt very much that if a female had written that, it would say "something that suits her, something she enjoys" as it is assumed that the majority of players are men, so it'd sound weird. But just because the majority are men, doesn't mean we should assume any player is male.
Also, do women tronners have the right to vote on polls here? They better do...

Re: Armagetron Shoutout
Hex = desolate? If so, why didn't you post it under your own account? And why is psy so female friendly lately?
So many questions.
