ok i found a few posts and they got me a little bit further through my issue but im still having prroblems. I am trying to install the sty patch on linux xubuntu.
I have used the wiki (http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php?title=Sty) but got stuck at:
netbook@ubuntu:~$ /home/netbook/0.2.8-armagetronad-sty/bootstrap.shRunning aclocal...
aclocal: `configure.ac' or `configure.in' is required
rm: cannot remove `aclocal.m4': No such file or directory
help? (btw im reasonably new to linux, so keep it simple where pos lol!)

That worked well cheers, but i thought the sty patch would get me the "map_rotation" and "config_rotation" commands?

No, those are on Trunk versions.
