In the month between a WST, this vote will be cast by team leaders of the previous WST so if teams begin to hate the map and get a TST vibe from it rather than a WST vibe, then the votes will show to change back to the original map.
Why don't you realize that some in the community do not want to vote on everything all the time.

Tough nipples for the ones who decide not to vote?

Err, edited out vulgarity.

Good job on the new map, looks good and is fun to play on, but it should not eradicate the original WST map, maybe have a combination of both or alternate

Why not just give this map a new name altogether, and base a new tournament upon it? This eliminates any controversy between this and the original war sumo map. For example, you could call it a Team Sumo Brawl, or something.

A very good point indeed. To be perfectly honest, I was probably mostly for the idea of new map because I was pretty bad at the old one :D

Anyway, I think a rotation system between the two maps (every other) would be cool.

I think this will be a good analogy;

the new map doesn't embody war sumo, its blitzkrieg.

This map is all about crazy-ass mazing. There was more time for preperation on the original map, moreover there is no 'launch' in the new map.
Shrink speed is a lot slower in the new mode, which means round times are roughly the same as the old mode. This means you have the same amount of time to attack and defend. The difference as I see it is that because the zone begins so much smaller, it takes a lot more skill to defend because your walls are less likely to be straight. But attacking is risky because if you attack, you need team-mates to defend, which makes them vulnerable. It's more of a balance than the old map I think, which could get extremely repetitive with only 1 or 2 battles going on at the interfaces between opposing walls.

This mode, there is much more opportunity for variation from the start as well.

I might be more conservative minded. Yet my opinion stands. I support an alternation between the maps, but the original map shouldn't be forgotton and disposed.

this game is really suited better for league play than a tournament, too much at once gets really boring in my opinion (and 3v3 is small enough to realistically have weekly matches or something)
