I would leave out #armagetron (please!). I don't think the main channel needs to be flooded with drama, gossip, and lols - there is enough of that there already.

A lot more players in this game actually use chatboxes than you IRC. Now I don't mean the people that visit this forum. Sometimes, in discussions like these, I think the regular visitors here need to recognize that there is a lot more players that don't come here, than do. I would also venture to say that most of the clans that come to this forum, are not the type that would ever put a chatbox on their clansite. As a practical matter, you have to keep in mind, that most players of online games like this never use IRC, and don't even know what it is. They do know about forums. And, they don't understand the valid reasons to not do a chatbox on a forum. For them, the chatbox is their IRC.

Well when you have a lot of people already using irc, and you can infact install a chatbox that connects to irc (like the one on R site), why not get the best of 2 worlds?

idk how its gonna go..but its working ok in that im posting "volumezero.forumotion.com post and challenge us to a war without having to register to our site!!!" and other clans are able to see it. the whole reason me and dukevin made it is to comunicate with eachothers clans easily..but idk how retarted it will get. It definately shouldnt be on the official armagetron site. just clan sites if they want it.

Try the irc chat, dude. It takes 2 minutes to set up. Make it join #armagetron.clans by default, and if you start liking irc (which you will once you realize what it is) you can even make your own chat room in there. Like #volumezero or something. You're also welcome to drop by in #rogue.tronners if you wanna chat with us

There's always a crowd of people there.

hey guys i uuuh i tried to work with ur live chat thing....and its easier to use this...global chat. there is no flash stuff. just put it on your webpage and we can all easily talk to eachother and leave messages on it. its fast and easy. yes there are kids that may talk about things u dont care about but its fast and u can call people out to war, talk abour tournaments or talk to a friend from arma if they are on. seriously its fast and easy put in on your site. its nice to have.
