Re: Random videos thread
I'm with sinewav. Some flakey, plastic, white pop-tart bimbo acting like a drunk, desperate, attention-seeking co-ed nitwit trying to "impress" knuckleheaded frat boys. Such a low bar, on both sides of the equation.
I offer you these as higher standards of sexiness/sensuality, among other qualities, as it relates to dance:
Cyd Charisse, first in an amazing mashup, and then with a young KHAAAAAN!
(and this and this)
'Thelma Evans': scene one; scene two.

"What I want to see is take the lightcycles from Tron and make them a little edgy, give it a little tweak, you know. So, we're talking about a multimap world full of shooting, fancy zones, ramps, portals, and flying cycles!"
Cookie Monster just doesn't sound like Cookie Monster since Frank Oz retired voicing him. A simple growl and broken grammer just doesn't cut it. His enunciation is actually too good. There should be moments here and there where you ask yourself, "wait, what did he just say?"

Re: Random videos thread
I liked the Seinfeld methods: A and B.
Though, I do have (some) sympathy for (some) telemarketers themselves (not the companies that hire them). They're predominantly just poor folks working a crap, minimum-wage job trying to get by, often just part-time. Plus, teenagers.
If you don't like telemarketing, rather than abusing the poor sap on the other side of the line, the best thing to do is sign up for the National Do Not Call Registry (in the US; other countries surely have something similar), plus any such registries on the state and local level. Any calls that do get through (some aren't barred), best to consider those people are as miserable as you are annoyed—and that while your annoyance lasts a fleeting moment, their misery goes on all day and often carries over. Be polite, express that you aren't interested, and say, "I do not want to receive solicitations. Please place this number on your do-not-call list, in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act." Or simply, “please take me off your list, and don’t call again.” The telemarketer is required to keep a record of the request and refrain from dialing your number for 10 years. That should apply not only to the company the telemarketer is representing at the moment, but any others with whom they may contract. Say thank you and goodbye. It may not be as crassly fun, but it's more decently human.
