Adding characters to name

Hi I know i'm new to armagetron forums, and don't really post here but do you think someone can help me I am using armagetron 2.8.3.1 on a Mac and i tried rincluding something in game so i can get the × character in my name and it says error impossible to reach host of URI this may be caused by a DNS resolving issue.. idk what this means but i've also tried to place the character in my user.cfg file and armagetron does not recognize the character!

OK I wish I didn't know this, but open your user.cfg, hold alt and just mash all the buttons where your name should be

like: player_1 ©¥¨†ç´√¨^µ…ø•~ª•¶∫®¶∞ ∂§•˙µø©•˙π≤ª≤…∫˚≥÷÷≤˙∆…

then save, open arma, go straight to local game, your name should be a bazillion characters long, find the x you want and delete the rest.

Or you can open the character map, and sort through all the different characters. Then copy/paste if you are using 0.3.0

I tried that..found the character and i get Å<-- which translates to unknown character...

who cares, .x] is better anyways, i mean that's what i do.
