Jeopardy: Same Name-> Cologne, Germany!
So. I noticed you are from Cologne Z-Man?
If this is correct than cool.
There is a German exchange student in 2 of my classes at school named Tim Reuscher. He is from Cologne, Germany.
Thought it was pretty cool that you guys could be from the same city. With so many Germans on this game, maybe somebody knows him!
Anyone else from that area?

Re: Germany!
belenus is from Cologne, but we haven't seen him in a while. And it's a large city, chances of knowing anyone random are quite slim.
Re: Germany!
does this "tim" have a facebook/myspace and is he cute?

I think I'm nearby as far as you are concerned, but approximately 200 km on a great circle doesn't work for me.INW wrote:Anyone else from that area?

Re: Germany!
Does this guy approve of you sharing his full name on this forum?
Re: Germany!
He shares his full name on Facebook, so it probably doesn't matter much.

Re: Germany!
I am sure he doesn't mind. I talked to him about the game at school.
Is this being O.K. with him any of your business anyway?

And yes, looking out for one's fellow human beings should be one's business. I don't expect you to relate to such a concept.
Re: Germany!
I don't use facebook because I don't want my name broadcasted for everybody to see, including the future. Now everyone can link his name to this site, thanks to google bot. Even if I were to use facebook, It surely would not be with my correctly spelled name.
Re: Germany!
Don't understand why you name on the internet is a big deal... Chances are, your full name is somewhere out there on the internet.

Re: Germany!
It's because you are young and very little you do has consequence. Later, if you happen to apply for a job that requires a background check, the places your name shows up suddenly becomes kind of a big deal. And even something as seemingly innocent as a game forum can have other implications depending on what context your name was used and the employer's criteria.Lord Pein wrote:Don't understand why you name on the internet is a big deal...
As it stands right now, if INW's real name were connected somehow to his profile here, anyone paying attention would see combative behavior and talks of suspension. That would say volumes to a potential employer. If it's not such a big deal, then why not post under your real name or have it listed in your profile?
It's simple; if you don't want to post here under your real name, do others the courtesy by not posting theirs unless they have verbalized consent. This is golden rule stuff here, kids.
