Sorry, but "gay" has become synonymous with negative connotations in everyday language. Many words have more than one meaning, and gay now has three in everyday use: Fun/happiness (the original meaning), homosexuality, and, as I said above, a negative, non-specific adjective.

And before you start bitching at me, maybe spare a thought about the times you use words such as

-lame
-demented
-retarded
-spaz/spastic/etc.

And the how it might make people with these serious conditions feel?

And in this case (note the smiley), "silly, but I'd watch it!". At least that's how I read it. Had I seen it as purely negative, common synonyms or not, I'd have edited it. Just because it's common doesn't mean it's right.

ok, well I expect any word with a dual meaning one negative connotation, and one a descriptive condition or system to be treated in the same way as "gay" by the mods/admins then. I don't see why any particular group of people should be given special treatment because they are louder at complaining, or more prominant in todays society.

Definitely need a glow in the dark puck. I remember playing pond hockey at night with flashlights, we lost the puck 10 minutes in and ended up just skating around and getting drunk, eventually having the required drunken flashlight/light saber fights. Good times.
