This is still speculation....
Aren't you supposedly a med student or something? Don't you understand how science works?
Once again you show an ineptitude at recognizing and responding to humor like a normal person. This is my official request that you either 1) put me on your ignore list or 2) stop responding to my posts with stupid little jabs at who you perceive me as and how I fail to live up to your expectations. Show some self-control please.

Maybe you're just not funny.

Anyway, I haven't been actively reading up on this subject or following what the mass of morons on the web have had to say about it, but I opened today's newspaper and right there on the front page I see the word "aflockalypse." The article. Apparently, "the Internet has been atwitter over an alleged wildlife apocalypse, ever since reports that several thousand red-winged blackbirds died on New Years Eve in Beebe, Ark. ... [T]here's been talk of the end times or conspiracy theories." So, sure, haha, UFOs, hardy har. But, this is why I originally brought up the god-of-the-gaps example of faulty reasoning, as a skeptic teaching moment. (And, yes, appa, damnit, I knew you weren't serious, for cryin' out loud.) Also, by the way, confirmation bias. Because, yes, there really are a lot of people out there who will respond to this kind of stuff by genuinely believing in a lot of weird things.
