Server choice should remain random, or at least be decided on team locations rather than team rank.

We've already got more than one fix for this. They just aren't implemented yet. Soon though, very soon.

Like in tennis, you won't see Federer play Nadal in the opening round of a competition. But at the same time, Federer is not given any actual advantage in the opening round against whoever he plays. Letting the seed pick the server would be like letting Federer pick the court surface.

But in tennis, everyone plays on the same surface for each match in a given tournament...the playing field does give certain players an advantage over others, but the advantage is constant and doesn't change from court to court within the same tournament. Changing servers can have a big impact on which players have the "lag advantage" (in the minds of some, anyway).

One thing I know for certain is that ~*SP*~, at least, should be allowed to choose their first round server. And their first round opponent. But that's what the community leaders already decided in free kill's pm vote, right?
