I know these have been posted before, but things change.

CAMERA_CUSTOM_RISE_FROMSPEED 0.25
CAMERA_CUSTOM_PITCH -0.58

You're asking for people's values? Ought to start with your own.

I don't use custom cam. I use smart cam. I do use the following custom glances:

Code: Select all

CAMERA_GLANCE_BACK 12 # how much the camera is moved back
CAMERA_GLANCE_RISE 10 # the height of the camera above the cycle
CAMERA_GLANCE_BACK_FROMSPEED 0 # how much the camera is moved back for every m/s speed
CAMERA_GLANCE_RISE_FROMSPEED 0 # the height of the camera above the cycle for every m/s speed
CAMERA_GLANCE_PITCH -.7 # inclination of the camera
Fancy, huh?! They do, however, compliment the smart cam well. That is, in most servers. Super-fast servers throw it for a nauseating loop when going between, but I never play those, anyway. The other useful aspect is that using custom glances can effectively "reset" the smart cam for you. So, it becomes not only a matter of glancing, but also using them to control the smart cam, in a manner.

Hey, what's with that CAMERA_GLANCE_ANGULAR_VELOCITY? Is that something just in 0.3?

I don't know specific values, but the rise and back are both at least 60. I see all. :o But I hit corners 24/7.

Oh, ok;

CAMERA_CUSTOM_BACK 60
CAMERA_CUSTOM_RISE 60
CAMERA_CUSTOM_PITCH -1.2

rough estimate

this is why I don't ever come back to help def- if someone spams even 4 lines of text I can't see what's in front of me, so I have to turn chat off.

Hrm. What do it do?

By the way, peoples, besides just posting a list of your custom camera settings, you should include a description and reasons for it.

It determines how fast the camera turns when you glance (but, oddly enough, not how fast it turns back to normal when you let go of the glance button).

My own settings are on the custom camera list on the wiki, but I think they're a bit outdated - I had to tweak the pitch/rise/back after I got a new wider screen so I could see the zone from the other side of the grid.

The only other settings I've ever used were slashy's, just out of curiosity. It gives you an awesome overview of what's going on, but I didn't really like it because I felt like I couldn't time my moves as well.
