If you are suggesting we break this tradition then I think you should campaign it not me. I'm not the one trying to change something that's been done since Ladle 23. Why do you even care enough find it embarrassing, consider it bordering on minutia and then stand against it? Why drag this on and make it an issue when it can quickly be fixed.sinewav wrote:But as far as "mistakes" go, this isn't one at all. The brackets definitely fulfill the requirement "servers must flow smoothly and not have too many unnecessary switches". There is no rule that says which servers should be "on top", US or EU - and there shouldn't be. This is bordering on minutia, and it's a bit embarrassing. I stand against further edits to the Challenge Board at this time. If you want to campaign for a new rule for servers then go right ahead.-*inS*- wrote:Yeah i realize it was an honest mistake but the cause of it is irrelevant, what matters is that the servers got switched which should be fixed. The point is we wish to keep to the original pattern.
As tradition, the servers and the teams are placed pretty much exactly at the same time so there's no time to actually disagree in the event you're not present. By that logic anyone can do something and get away with it if nobody spots it right after. Not everybody has the time to be there and why should they be? So what you're saying isn't even sensible to suggest.sinewav wrote:In the future, if you have a concern about the brackets, you should visit the channel at the time the brackets are randomized and filled.
Now with seeding, teams are placed before the server brackets are placed and if it wasn't done randomly it can be biased, something we've always tried to avoid. So removing the one other thing that has been done and keeps the semifinals untainted is just illogical...
If I wanted it changed, you would be right to point me in the direction of stating it in the next quarterly voting as I would ask for it to be voted on.
