CTF Tourney

I'm sure there's something about this in the forums or wiki, but i don't feel like wasting an hour on this. So is there such thing as a CTF Tourney?

Yes, and some of us intend to start one soon. I am setting up forums for such, and servers.

CTF tournies used to be held monthly by the Wild West clan spanning from about years ago to just over a year ago. (I'm not exactly sure when they started, but the last monthly tourney was June '09.) Since then they've died down severely, and the general CTF community along with it. It would be great if these would start back up again though.

Now that I have my servers shuffled around, I have one just for forums, etc. The plan is to get my new forum up, and I have talked with about 8 people from the old CTF community. The idea is to use the wiki here to organize the tourneys, but have a separate community for ctf/hr/df/ctfs. But NOT a community that is so divided from this one. I always wanted to bridge the Ww community and this one. So, now my desire is to create a new community that is setup to be "loosely" integrated with this one, but one that is fun and dynamic like Ww was. Also, since I am a big free speech guy, some of the speech not allowed by Ww will be allowed, so things can be a little more relaxed. I am just gonna put a forum up, the hope is to have about 5-9 mods and 3 admins to run the thing. Those numbers do NOT include me. I hope to create more of a "community" run forum. I just don't have the time or desire to be king of the thing and organize all the tournaments! I miss the old Ww community, but think we can do better!
