Ok so now that we've established that nothing can be done about players using aliases, Nel's and uNa's great scheme to show people how absurd aliases are, and how uNa using aliases will be a joke... Lets not have a totally pointless argument about this.

There is no solution;

GID's wont work, they can simply create another one.

Then again, these can be connected to computer IP's, but what if a person has housemates playing too.

Then there is this personal number on your passport, but shouldn't illegal people be allowed to play tron too? And you can copy one from any non-tronning player.

Another possibility is the iris/fingerprint scan, then again, the equipment is expensive and you can ask someone to borrow a finger.

The best would be some computer program that would memorize the combination of style-of-play, keyboard settings, ways of communcating, humor etc. and connect that to a player.

Or everyone should refrain from using aliases by their own choice.

Let's ignore the fact that Olive has been using alias in many tournaments in the past.. his words still make sense.

and for uNa: while I see what you're trying to do, and under some circumstances that would be a good idea, that's not the case here.
You're trying to make us aware of the alias problem? We obviously are already.
You're trying to provoke us to make stricter and more rules. Ask yourself whether you really want that, or if that will really help the ladle as a whole.

Nelhybel: you're the one who made the decision to sign up this team yeah? You can still make the decision to change your names to the ones we usually see on the grid. It isn't too late.

Sure, a couple of people will make "LOL!" or facepalm comments but that's something you can easily shake off, and the same people probably already made LOL!/facepalm comments about your alias team in the first place.

If your goal is truly to make the ladle alias-free, I think you should give my post some thought. If not, please go on and play under alias. It won't make or break my day either way.
