I wouldn't go counting any team as full yet until we work out how teams are actually going to work.dreadlord wrote:I think Germany is full, let's count how many players per team we have now okay?
Germany
RoterBaron --> maybe teamleader
Theroze --> maybe teamleader
dreadlord
AI-team
Raiden
Cronix
Matoso
Jip
75
akira
sunny
AshitakA
Sorry if I forgot someone.

Re: International Challenge - Discussion
Just wanted to prepare it, in case that it's needed yet. Anyway, I would not support a second team for germany; US would be okay, it's a huge country with many players.

Re: International Challenge - Discussion
No need for anyone to keep lists themselves, there's a google doc list Sylla and I are keeping that has everyone written down.

Re: International Challenge - Discussion
The number of sign ups a day is going down. We should probably start discussing the actual teams now. Here's the list of the sign ups. If someone's missing please share.
That's 12 teams, which would be a good number for the first tournament. Any ideas on how we should divide this?
USA has enough for 4 teams with 7-8 players each. Germany, Netherlands, France, Argentina/Spain/Mexico all have full teams. UK and Canada just need to find one more apiece. The other teams make up 14 players, so could possibly become two teams of 7.USA - 33

Re: International Challenge - Discussion
(For the USA players) I say randomize the players on USA teams. I don't think it would be fair to grab team captains and let them choose their players just because the other countries don't have that 'advantage'. Throw them all in some sort of hat, draw names and there ya go!Desolate wrote:Any ideas on how we should divide this?Netherlands - 6

Re: International Challenge - Discussion
I personally think that a team should have a minimum of 8 or 9 to play. Considering that it's planned to be 2 or 3 weekends in a row, it's extremely unlikely that 6 can make each game if you just have 7 on the roster.Desolate wrote:The number of sign ups a day is going down. USA has enough for 4 teams with 7-8 players each.
I would be in favor of that only if different countries with too few players get randomly put together, not if they can choose. Because wouldn't it also be an "unfair advantage" that they get to choose the other players on their team?INW wrote:(For the USA players) I say randomize the players on USA teams. Nobody can choose who they team up with, they can either team up by nationality or by region.owned wrote: I would be in favor of that only if different countries with too few players get randomly put together, not if they can choose. Re: International Challenge - Discussion
Actually, people are thinking about doing that. Some countries don't have enough players to make a full team, so the plan right now is to let the team captains of those countries choose who they team up with.

Re: International Challenge - Discussion
USA should not have more than 2 teams, imo. Has this been decided yet?

Re: International Challenge - Discussion
No, nothing has been decided. I said post your thoughts on how we should divide the teams.
