well for one it can be abbreviated "WC" which is convenient, and it erases the issues some people have with naming it "World Cup"

I like World Challenge as well. Would "Fort Cup" be it or is that short for "Fortress Cup?" I like the later but not the former.

We can also throw it under TRONIC to sound more official, though it wouldn't have to be on the title of the site or where ever just in like the banner or something.

Edit: It would be like TRONIC Fortress Cup or TRONIC World Cup

I would refrain from doing that simply because "TRONIC" has a specific meaning to Armagetron -- an idea that manifested as the Ladle. If "this" TRONIC WORLD CUP was meant to replace Ladle as a scalable, million-player event, then I would be all for making it "official" (whatever that means). But I have a hunch, after thoughtfully reading a lot of 2020's writing, the vision of TRONIC doesn't include nationalism in any form; even though the word TRONIC stands for "Tron International Competition." So in one sense, that name is already taken.

The Ladle IS the Tron International Competition.

Some ideas: Armagetron World Championship, Tron World Championship, Fortress Wolrd Championship, Fortress Battle For World Supremacy, Armagetron World Clash, Fortress World Clash or International Armagetron Federation Battle.
