1) Please just one post per person in the signup topic, and only relevent information in that post
2) Please only put one country (your residential one, unless specified, as explained here
3) Titan, you don't have to play if you don't want to. There's nothing stopping you signing up for Sweden, and finding out if there are non-fort players who are Swedish, who would be willing to train up a bit with you.
4) Organisers will not force any countries to play together. It is an option, and if used, we will consult all affected players.
5) No team appart from the USA has more than 6 players yet! Germany is close with 5 though, and Canada with 4!

Re: World Cup?
Most likely a good idea. Do we even need a separate forum? Can there be a temporary world cup section made when the time comes? Tank?gawdzilla wrote:mac and cheese you posted in the wrong topic

Re: World Cup?
Deso, then Tank has to assign every single player to their own little private section, assuming he wants to make all of those.

Re: World Cup?
Hmmm my thoughts on this,
Assuming we could get the same following as a ladle or greater (should be greater!) there could be 4 groups of 4 teams. Each team plays standard best of 3 fight vs other teams in it's group. Then best (best meaning best win-loss record, however +/- point could be used for tiebreakers) 2 teams from each group (8 teams overall) advance to next round where it's sorted like world cup (winner from group A plays 2nd place from group D, etc..).
Then the 8 remaining teams play normal ladle style play with the bracket made from the group stage results.
In the case of less teams, just randomize a bye or two into the group stage.
Food for Thought
Basically USA has like enough players for 3+ teams while other countries don't have enough for one.
- Will we break USA into regions? (If yes, what regions? Timezones wouldn't work well imo)
- Will we combine smaller countries? (If yes, how do we decide who is grouped with who?)

1. I don't like that but if we really get a lot of usa players I guess 2 USA teams should be ok...-*inS*- wrote: Basically USA has like enough players for 3+ teams while other countries don't have enough for one.

2. Yeah we should do that. Countries that are next to eachother or speak same/similiar language or that had something to do with eachothers in past (like Slovenia+Serbia were in Yugoslawia but since there are only 2 yugos that I know in Tron we will do a slavic team) etc.
Re: World Cup?
There's about 30 ladle playing US players, so idk how well 2 teams would work.

Re: World Cup?
That's good, but keep general announcements here too for those of us that may forget to check a new forum.gawdzilla wrote:also, I'm currently busy making a forum for the World Cup so every team will has its own PRIVATE section to discuss tactics etc
You may be forced to pick the best players, or go by players available. Maybe some sort of substitutions making it easier to schedule matches?Corn1 wrote:There's about 30 ladle playing US players, so idk how well 2 teams would work.
Combining countries that are geographically close could be OK. Same for making two or three US teams, although I think three would be pushing it.

Of course, it will be strictly used for private chat and easy communication.

Can't he assign group leadership to the team leader, who can then do it him/herself?gawdzilla wrote:Deso, then Tank has to assign every single player to their own little private section, assuming he wants to make all of those.
