New guy.

Post by plokijuy »

Hi all, I'm new to this.. So sorry for any team kills. I really like this game but.. What is slightly annoying is the way that I get kicked from servers.

Whenever I join a server say that I'm a n00b and I apologise for anything I do wrong. But I usually get kicked for, I'm assuming, team killing. Surely it's a better idea to help someone to get better at the game then it is to kicked them. I know It;s annoying when you;re playing with a n00b but just gimme some advice rather than kicking me :/

Anyway, really love the game.. It's pretty intense, fun too.

It happened to all of us. It's a good way to learn that you must join the center grind at the beginning of each round in team game modes.

Best way to learn is to watch for a little while before playing on a server, just to get the hang of it. So enter a game in spectating mode, watch players with high scores and learn, then play.

+1

first learn by watching,
and then learn by doing.

I've been playing this game for nearly 2 years and I still learn by watching others in various game modes.

Say you are new not a noob. There is a difference.

And some people just don't want to talk to or deal with newbies. Believe me, most people have spent at least a part of their time teaching some new guy how to play. Generally, you won't get kicked from solo-servers (non-team), with the exclusion of loose dogfight, where if you grind they get all annoyed.

So perhaps stick to game servers called "sumo" or low or high rubber, depending on what your preference is, as there if you lose, you only let yourself down (unless you are like those newbies who keep saying "I'm a newb/noob help!" again and again, despite people telling you to stfu or not replying.)

Team games do get annoying if someone with little grasps tries to jump head-in, since there are no real training servers (anymore), so its either you play well, or get hated.

I personally don't find it all that annoying. I do find it annoying when other players get annoyed at a new guy, because as you said, everyone has experienced it.
