Re: TST 2010.09 - **BRACKETS ARE UP**
First of all gz. It was really fun watching the finals, and wd to everybody.
As for improvements: I thing some of the settings need to be manipulated. There shouldn't be hole points imo, and I think there should be more than 10 rounds. I'll admit scores reached 900 before the round limit more often than I thought, but I think it's always best to play to a score limit. I also think that there should have always been a moderator present in every server. Obviously in the opening rounds, it was hard for the admins to be everywhere at once, but it would have been nice to have had more than a 2 second check-in and an almost false start that had to be settled with irc. Then again, you guys can't really control how many people volunteer for the job, and IRC did prove to be fairly quick. Thanks INW (;
All in all, my experience was mostly smooth, and I'm glad to see this type of tourney coming back.

Brackets not updated..who won?
Re: TST 2010.09 - **BRACKETS ARE UP**
Thanks to the organisers as usual & gz to the winners
Wouldn't hurt to make it an hour earlier it does start quite late. I'm sure the next one will be when no one has +1 summer time anyway though.

Next time it's definitely gonna be a bit earlier, don't agree about changing the round limit and hole points though; round limit is to make it so it doesn't last forever which as we see with the TST can totally happen. Hole points give it character.

When it's reduced to 3 teams in the semi's, change it to 3 teams max to stop someone like TI joining? Apart from that, twas fine.
Thx to organisers and server providers, gz liz and wap :>

Unfortunately, theres probably nothing you can do about this problem, but its there.
TST is meant to be 4 teams. If you have 3 teams, the setup will be: winning team facing the right hand side of second place team, who face the right hand side of the losing team (who face the spot where the 4th place team would be, if there was one).
This means, when a team is winning, it can be very hard for a second place team to do much about it.
This is made even worse when its just 2 teams (as it was in one of the semis) : winning team faces losing team, this is a definate advantage IMO.

Sorry about my server, but there really was not anything i could do about it. Usually if it does go out, it comes back for a weeks, this time it came back and crashed right before the start.

I blame myself for not advertising the TST enough, people probably forgot it was yesterday.syllabear wrote:Unfortunately, theres probably nothing you can do about this problem, but its there.
