Heh, you haven't been following the discussion it seems. The reason why is because a new bracket script needs to be written and no one has time to do it. Kyle is working on one now, but it won't be finished for a week or two at the earliest.
So just when people start to give up on what seems like a redundant and predictable lineup along comes another system to encourage more participation.
No more Merged Super (X , ARROW) teams beating up on less capable teams opening round to get their practice in. You look at the lineups in the last ten ladles and they hardly look random. Has TX ever played CT opening round? I can't seem to find that. http://wiki.armagetronad.net/index.php? ... ast_Ladles
how odd we Almost ALWAYS play a former champ in the opening round.

That's because no one likes ID and everyone is out to get you guys
its random. Come to the randomisation. They use a random program. Its just unfortunate that 'former champions' include 6 teams this ladle. 6/15 is a fair chance of getting one (infact I'm sure my maths is wrong here, because you are in brackets of two, and its actually a much higher chance, probably like 3/4 or more)

Cleaned up. This thread stays locked for convenience (it's the voting thread and voting is over). Flex and Goodygumdrops receive formal warnings for their flamewar as the worst representatives from either side (the others kept it mostly cool). Let me make this perfectly clear: PMs complaining about the warnings being unfair in any way (why me? I was just responding! Why not X? etc) will result in temporary bans or be ignored if you're lucky.
The good bits of the discussion have been moved here, the bad bits (and posts just referencing them) moved out of your view. If your post was removed even though it contained good bits, well, I guess they weren't enough.
