My favorite ladle yet! (out of only 3 though). Awesome matches. SP it was great to play against you guys - probably the tensest tron moments of my life.

Re: Ladle 37
Cheers for the fun ladle.
This was my favorite ladle too. (Really proud of my team, you'll see more of us!)
Gratz to CT for winning, and also gratz to SP, unk and my fellow R's - we're the first 4 teams to be seeded! \o/

Re: Ladle 37
we should get a rule to disallow those huge delays ... it was terrible, a match supposed to be at 18:30 gmt was still running at 19:45 gmt

Re: Ladle 37
We gotta realize that matches don't take 45 minutes anymore. Some (if not most) take more than 1 hour.
Either we make a time limit system or we adjust the time frame on the wiki

Re: Ladle 37
and add the rule: every team who is not able to start 5/8/10 minutes after official beginning of the match gets disqualified
Re: Ladle 37
I would defitinitely be in favor of a time limit (kinda like a pickup game). Our match with CT was how a ladle match should be. I thought both teams were pretty aggressive.
Re: Ladle 37
I watched the ending of R vs SP and it was literally the closest match I have ever watched, good job R..
and congratulations CT.

Re: Ladle 37
What about NE vs SP? Or the last match of the ladle 33 finals.
Re: Ladle 37
No, this was way more intense for me. 98-98, then 100-100, then the final seconds of SP taking the zone with the risk of one of them getting coredumped before that could happen.. it was really cool. : D

Oh ok, I didn't see it so I wouldn't know

Re: Ladle 37
I totally agree with liz, super intense. I think their Hearts were bumpin really hard!

Re: Ladle 37
That's the only thing we can really do at this point. Matches drag out when teams are too scared to take chances; when winning is everything and fun takes a back seat. We can't stop that type of playing. (However, deliberate stalling in a match could be considered poor-sportsmanship and we could probably vote to suspend those players in a future Ladle, but I really hate that idea.)Titanoboa wrote:Either we make a time limit system or we adjust the time frame on the wiki
I mentioned before that Ladle matches would probably go faster if we returned to teams of eight players (8v8) - it's how the team size was when the time-frame was determined.
If we change the times to show an hour, should we start a little earlier? 15-30 min?
And since it hardly matters what time the Challenge Board says after the opening round, why don't we just eliminate the times listed for the rounds? All they do is cause people to say "omg we are so off schedule".
