Nobody is forced. Just downgrade the quality if you don't want to watch it in HD. I don't appreciate feeling like I did something wrong for posting a link to HD, the way I the producer want it to be watched.

Another idea behind the "pro" fortress servers, is that nobody is going to teach you to play fortress. You are just expected to be able to play in a manner that works with the team you are on.
You should check out the Rogue Tronners MegaFortress Amateurs server. It is a reaction to the whole "pro" thing. No authentication required, noobs are encouraged to play and learn. Mods will help teach.

In fact our "Amateur fortress" was going to be the exact same idea as the "PRO" servers, but I didn't want people to expect themselves being paid to play there. (I still haven't got a dime for all my hours in G5's PRO server. Scammer.)

By public request, login isn't required (but still encouraged). And of course new players are always welcome to try out the game mode.

Part of the reason I brought back Fortress Cafe was it truly is the place to learn Fortress, and with the original, better settings, IMHO and SCORE_HOLE 1. So yes, it is possible that a team that holes well could end up winning a close match by Holing, etc! Two meter holes I think are better to learn with, and for "Pro's" two meter holes are a lot harder to cover!
The other reason was nostalgia (I learned to play Fortress there) and poplular demand!
