I really feel that all players playing in any Armagetron Tournament should be authenticated, period.

Yes. But how to make that procedure meaningful when there is no controls over the most popular white-list (this forum)? Anyone can make a disposable account. The direction we are heading is tournament-specific white-lists, which is fine aside from the fact they need to be managed by someone - but who?

You have brought this up before, and I have been giving this a lot of thought. I think that the ideal way would be for Tank and the current Dev team to setup a second authority and/or forum just for tournaments. Ideally it would be managed by the Evil Triumvirate.

Kinda like where you have to register an account on the forums and basically a group of people or one has to hand confirm the accounts making sure the same person isn't allowed 3 aliases? I can understand 2 names because of the same IP but I think if the Devs hand accepted accounts to where only a max of 2 per IP were made...it would work over the aliases factor in ladle and tourneys.

IMHO, titan, as an admin shouldn't have played at all. I don't see evidence of Gonzap tk'ing people, etc.

I didn't play at all... And the problem wasn't Gonzap tk'ing people. I don't know and don't care if he did, since it isn't against the rules.

I know the problem was not Gonzap tk'ing. I totally misunderstood a few posts you made, and apologize for throwing yet another false accusation at you. Gonzap told me via pm the better part of what his side was...I don't care to ever learn the whole story! My only concern is to see this tournament grow and mature into something that in a few years, we will be talking about C & P 12, and I will say "remember C & P 2?" and we will all have a good laugh!

Random question: any reason why the brackets are images and not actual text like the ladles?

Because word hasn't made a bracket using the wiki such as the ones made in the ladle. I'm sure it isn't very hard to make the type of bracket he needs but it seems the type bracket word uses for the tourney is always different depending on the amount of teams signed up.

Yeah. I really struggled trying to learn to use the wiki to make brackets, but gave up after a few attempts. (Couldn't just steal a complete template since it isn't a normal bracket). So I just did it in MS Paint instead

I tried the same, and it was terrible. Vanhayes helped me on irc and gave me links to other sports' brackets in wikipedia, but there was no example for a 4 team sport.
