Looks like that sucker was modified with a gas engine. In my first apartment, the basement floor wasn't level so I had to prop up one corner of the washing machine with a 2x4. A simple imbalanced load and that thing would go hopping around—would look about like seconds 0:02-0:04. Nothing ever popped off, though.

That's now a word? Really? Ugh. Come on, man. Are people so devoid of vocabulary anymore? Orwell mis-predicted how newspeak would come to pass. He figured it would come top-down from the government; instead, it has developed in internet webkids culture.

Not funny. And, shocker, made by teenage white boys.

@Washing machine video; reminds me of portal for some reason.

Regarding the Diehard Battery commercial, well... I'm not entirely convinced that was some legitimate testing, especially with starting the cars. But it was fun to look at.

You're really into the "retro" Americana lately, eh, Word.
(By the way, if you're interested in Dick Tracy, the 1990 film is about the worst example of it.)

Also, while I truly appreciate the content of your signature graphic (although I don't get the donut aspect), come on, man, that thing is way too big.

Maybe, but it's still fun to guess which actor plays which role because the make up is so inordinate.
And i just stare at the background paintings most of the time :P

Well, I didn't just mean the robots, but whatever.

Good to give credit to that guy.

You might enjoy this page: http://www.theoldrobots.com/

...which includes the familiarly-named Armatron. I myself had the Mobile Armatron at one point.

I think most of the robots on the site have demo videos, so we're still on topic. You all just have to click more than once to get to them (hard work, I know).

Destroying perfectly working machines is just such an apalling thing to do. Its such a rediculous waste of resources, its sickening.
